Athon WR 489 Fluid is a solvent-free silicone concentrate, based on silane and siloxane blend soluble in organic solvents.

•Non-tacky drying
•Effective even on wet substrates
•Rapid development of water repellency
It is suitable for imparting water repellency to absorbent, porous and mineral construction materials, such as:
•Masonry
•All types of concrete
•Cellular concrete
•Fiber cement sheets
•Mineral agglomerates
•Natural and artificial stone based on minerals
•Mineral paints
•Primer for exterior paints
Attention: Product is not suitable for water repellent treatment for plaster.
Suitable solvents for dilution:
•Aliphatic hydrocarbons (turpentine)
•Aromatic hydrocarbons
•Low odor isoparaffinic hydrocarbons
It is recommended that the solvent used has a boiling range of 140- 190°C.
In cases where the substrate is sensitive to the above solvents, dilution may be done in anhydrous alcohols such as ethanol or isopropanol. The presence of moisture should be avoided so as not to compromise the effectiveness of the product.
Dilutions in the range of 1:10 to 1:15 (product: solvent) are usually employed.
