Athon PF 212 Fluid is a polysiloxane fluid with alkyl and aryl groups. It is an industrial release agent designed for the release of metallic materials, rubbers and plastics in manufacturing, molding or extrusion processes.
Athon PF 212 Fluid provides a film with excellent heat resistance (far superior to polydimethylsiloxane or organic release agents), does not require unusual or extraordinary cleaning operations prior to painting, gluing or miscellaneous coatings application.
Athon PF 212 Fluid is highly recommended for metal parts, rubbers and plastics in manufacturing, molding or extrusion processes.
Prior to use, Athon PF 212 Fluid is diluted with solvents to a desired concentration of 1.0-1.5%. Suitable solvents include: chlorinated, aliphatic and aromatic solvents such as xylene and toluene. Alternatively, Athon PF 212 Fluid may be emulsified and added to water- based formulations. To ensure optimum results, the surface of the material must be free of impurities, oil or grease. Athon PF 212 Fluid is typically applied by brushing or by spraying.
