DESCRIPTION

Athon MQ 885 Resin is a non-flammable hydrotreated hydrocarbon silicone resin solution used in the formulation of mold releases and water repellants.

CHARACTERISTICS

•Good heat stability
•Water repellency superior to common silicone fluids
•Provides mold release and shine to formulations

APPLICATIONS

Athon MQ 885 Resin is usually diluted with solvent (1 part product to 10 parts solvent) prior to brushing or by spraying onto the mold. Suitable solvents: aliphatic, aromatic or chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Also used in product formulations for HomeCare and AutoCare, providing shine and fixation by film formation, as well as premium water repellency.
